UNDERSTANDING THE IMPACT OF PRESICION JOURNALISM ON INDONESIAN JOURNALISTS IN THE DIGITAL ERA

This study investigates the role of precision journalism mid the growing challenges of misinformation and ethical dilemmas n oline news production. In Addition, it aims to shape the attirudes and practices of Indonesian journalists in the digital era. Employing a qualitative case study design, in depth interviews were conducted with 9 informants that consist of journalists, editors and data analysts from three leading digital media news platform : Tempo.co, Kompas.com, and also Katadata.co.id. The findings reveal that precision journalism were grounded in scientific research methods and accurate data authentication which enhances news credibility and fosters ethical reporting practices. The respondents underscored its potential to bridge gaps between rapid spread of information and its accuracy while also identifying systemic barriers, such as limited data literacy, resource constraints, and solid teamwork. Conclusively, the research concludes that precision journalism serves not only as a methodological advancement in digital media era but also a pivotal strategy for restoring public trust and professional accountability in Indonesia Journalists rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
