DINAMIKA KOMUNIKASI PASANGAN DI TENGAH POPULARITAS POLITIK: STUDI KASUS KONFLIK ISRAEL-PALESTINA DALAM HUBUNGAN ROMANTIS

Konflik politik yang berkepanjangan telah memicu perdebatan luas di media sosial, memengaruhi dinamika hubungan antarindividu. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori penetrasi sosial yang dikembangkan oleh Altman dan Taylor untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana hubungan interpersonal berkembang dari komunikasi dangkal menuju keintiman, serta peran penting keterbukaan diri (self-disclosure) dalam proses ini. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan pandangan politik dapat menyebabkan konflik dalam hubungan, berpotensi mengarah pada depenetrasi atau penurunan keintiman. Melalui tinjauan literatur yang sistematis, penelitian ini menetapkan kriteria pemilihan sumber dari jurnal terakreditasi dan analisis konten di media sosial, dengan fokus pada pengaruh ideologi politik terhadap keputusan individu dalam mempertahankan atau mengakhiri hubungan romantis. Hasilnya mengindikasikan bahwa sikap politik merupakan faktor krusial yang memengaruhi keberlangsungan hubungan. Untuk menjembatani konflik yang muncul akibat perbedaan pandangan politik, keterampilan komunikasi yang efektif dan kemampuan untuk berkompromi sangat diperlukan. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi individu untuk memahami peran sikap politik dalam hubungan interpersonal dan mengembangkan strategi komunikasi yang efektif untuk mengatasi potensi konflik. Dengan demikian, hubungan interpersonal dapat dipertahankan dan diperkuat meskipun terdapat perbedaan pandangan politik yang signifikan.
