PENGARUH DOOMSCROLLING DAN LITERASI MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP KELELAHAN DIGITAL GEN Z DI MEDAN: STUDI KUANTITATIF

Fenomena doomscrolling semakin marak di kalangan Gen Z dan berpotensi menimbulkan kelelahan digital, sementara literasi media sosial diyakini dapat menjadi faktor pelindung. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh doomscrolling dan literasi media sosial terhadap kelelahan digital pada Gen Z di Kota Medan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil uji parsial menunjukkan bahwa doomscrolling berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kelelahan digital (p < 0,001; β = 0,252), sedangkan literasi media sosial berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan (p = 0,028; β = –0,156). Uji simultan mengonfirmasi bahwa kedua variabel bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 13,1% (p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan doomscrolling cenderung memperparah kelelahan digital, sedangkan literasi media sosial yang baik dapat menurunkan risikonya. Dengan demikian, penguatan literasi media sosial menjadi strategi penting untuk meminimalisasi dampak negatif penggunaan media sosial pada Gen Z.
